On a Saturday afternoon in early April, 11 Dallas employees gathered at USA Bowl, along with a couple hundred other folks, to celebrate their fundraising accomplishments. For over a month, we challenged our friends and family to contribute to our team fundraising goals. We were hoping to raise $1,200 to donate directly to Big Brothers Big Sisters of North Texas. BBBS organizes this fundraiser, Bowl for Kids’ Sake, in order to fund the matching of at-risk and underprivileged youth with positive adult role models. We are proud to say, we had 12 volunteers sign up for two Pariveda bowling teams and raised over $1,800!
Bowling day was a blast for all of those involved. Unofficially, I believe we bowled both the highest and lowest scores of the day; Doug Lemme bowled a whopping 262 points, and on Carrie Beckner's second game she brought in an entire 45 points! Regardless of our team scores, we all thoroughly enjoyed the time we got to spend together and the feeling of knowing we all contributed to raising money for a great organization.
