Overview
As Chief People Officer, Tom Cunningham oversees internal learning activities, recruiting, HR functions, and office operations, ensuring our people are supported in their continuous development throughout their journey at Pariveda. Prior to moving into this role in 2017, Tom served as the Office Managing Vice President for the New York market, responsible for building, growing, and managing the local market consulting practice.Â
Experience
Tom has over 15 years of technology consulting experience. During his consulting career, he has led project delivery teams, formed project management offices, and served as the regional business leader in markets throughout the northeast, including Boston, New York, and Philadelphia.
Prior to his consulting career, Tom taught at the high school and collegiate level.
Outside of the office
Tom is a passionate musician, serving as the director of the Manhattan Choral Ensemble, a chorus he founded in 2000. Tom also plays the piano, guitar, and drums in various pick-up bands in New Jersey and Boston and composes music for chorus and orchestra. Tom lives in New Jersey with his family, though he is in New York to make or hear music many times a month. Tom also loves the outdoors and spent a year living in New Zealand, exploring that remarkable country.
Education and service
Tom holds a BA from Yale University and an advanced degree in music performance from Westminster Choir College. Tom sits on the board of the Manhattan Choral Ensemble and served on the board of the New York Choral Consortium.
