Taking the leap
When a recruiter first reached out to me about Pariveda, I had never heard of the company. There was no office or team in Colombia at the time. It felt like a risky move.
But as I dug in, I learned that Pariveda had more than two decades of experience in the U.S. and a strong foundation as a purpose-driven, employee-owned B Corp. Their mission “to grow people toward their highest potential” stayed with me. I kept asking myself, What would it look like to be part of building something new?
In the end, I took the leap.
Creating something from the ground up
As the first employee in Bogotá, my role was anything but typical. I was a consultant, yes, but I also helped with recruiting, setting up laptops, and planning celebratory dinners. I had the chance to shape our local culture and bring big ideas to the table. One moment I’ll never forget was a personal call from our CEO, Margaret Rogers. To me, it was proof that leadership here shows up in meaningful ways.
The early days were challenging but incredibly fulfilling. I felt supported, empowered, and part of something bigger. I wasn’t just growing in my career; I was helping grow Pariveda in Colombia.
A culture rooted in growth
From day one, I could tell Pariveda’s commitment to people wasn’t just a tagline. Our culture is collaborative and respectful, where people genuinely care about helping each other succeed. Every employee has a mentor, and conversations about growth and development are part of our daily work. Even the name Pariveda, derived from Sanskrit for “complete knowledge,” reinforces this mindset.
For me, that culture is what makes Pariveda different. It’s not just about career paths or promotions; it’s about becoming a better version of yourself and helping others do the same.
Bogotá today
Today, we’re nearly 40 people strong, with an incredible office space and a vibrant mix of Colombian warmth and Pariveda values. We work closely with teams across the U.S., solving complex problems for clients and building new capabilities together.
Bogotá is more than a new market. It’s a strategic hub. There’s still so much to define, and with that comes real opportunity: to lead, to innovate, and to shape what’s next.
My mentor jokingly calls me “Bogotá’s ambassador,” a title I proudly accept. I’m grateful for the people who believed in our talent and our country, and for the chance to be part of something that continues to grow and evolve every day.
