Mr. Alan Henson is a highly accomplished technology and business strategy executive with a demonstrated 22-year history of driving successful transformations across various industries, particularly in the energy sector. Alan has established himself as a respected leader and sought-after consultant enabling data and application modernization across cloud, analytics, AI/ML, and custom software development. His innovative approach and strategic mindset continue to drive value for organizations looking to navigate the ever-changing landscape of technology and harness its potential for sustainable growth.
Alan has a passion for working on the leading and bleeding edge of technology because of the enormous potential that exists for both business and society. He loves the challenge of unlocking and delivering solutions that enable all corners of the energy industry, as he strongly believes that energy is the key to unlocking an improved quality of life and better business. He presently leads many of Pariveda’s initiatives in Energy, and he heads our global technology solutions architects organization.
Experience
With over 22 years of consulting and commercial software delivery experience, Alan has a depth of knowledge at the intersection of energy, business, and technology. His primary areas of expertise lie in innovation and business value alignment, digital transformation and modernization, and strategy formulation focused on navigating the energy and climate transitions. Alan’s experience spans developing leaders and teams, leading large-scale digital transformation projects, data platforms, and analytics including AI/ML, cloud solutions, custom technology delivery, and running operations for a multi-national software company. Before joining Pariveda Solutions, Mr. Henson held positions at Anadarko Petroleum, Volant, Perigon, and HTX Labs (co-founder).
Outside of the office
When Alan is not working, he loves spending time with his wife and son pursuing new adventures in travel, wine, and food. He is also an instrument-rated pilot and enjoys exploring the country via the skies.
Education and service
Alan graduated from Baylor University with a Bachelor of Business Administration with a major in Management Information Systems and a minor in Computer Science. He also holds an Executive MBA from Rice University where he graduated top of his class and is a Jones Scholar recipient. He also proudly serves on the Target Hunger Board of Directors, an organization focused on addressing food insecurity and its root causes within the Houston metropolitan area.
