Overview
Alan Henson is Vice President of AI at Pariveda, where he helps clients translate emerging technology into meaningful business transformation. He focuses on the intersection of AI strategy, enterprise technology, and human-centered change – helping organizations move from potential to possible, measurable outcomes.
Alan serves as a trusted partner to clients navigating complex technology decisions, with a particular focus on energy and other asset-intensive industries. In his role, he helps shape strategic direction, align executive priorities, and guide delivery across major transformation initiatives. His work spans AI-enabled growth, data and application modernization, cloud and analytics platforms, custom software delivery, and enterprise technology strategy.
Alan is also a leader in Pariveda’s Global Technology Group, where he helps advance the firm’s technology capabilities, solution architecture practices, and emerging technology perspectives. He is passionate about ensuring technology is not simply implemented but adopted in ways that create value for the business and expand the potential of the people who use it.
Experience
With experience across consulting, commercial software, and entrepreneurship, Alan brings a practical executive lens to innovation. He is especially energized by the opportunities AI creates when paired with clear strategy, disciplined execution, and strong leadership. His perspective is grounded in a simple belief: outcomes first, people always, AI in the service of both.
Before joining Pariveda, Alan held leadership roles at Anadarko Petroleum, Volant, Perigon, and HTX Labs, where he was a co-founder. He has led teams and delivered solutions across cloud, analytics, AI/ML, custom software, and enterprise platforms.
Outside of the office
Outside of work, Alan enjoys spending time with his wife and kids, traveling, and exploring food and wine. He is also an instrument-rated pilot and enjoys seeing the country from the air.
Education and service
Alan earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Management Information Systems from Baylor University, with a minor in Computer Science. He also holds an Executive MBA from Rice University, where he graduated at the top of his class and was named a Jones Scholar. He serves as Chairman of the Board of Directors for Target Hunger, a Houston-based organization focused on addressing food insecurity and its root causes.
