Finalsite is a global educational technology company that provides web design, content management, marketing, and communications software specifically for K-12 schools and districts.

Finalsite’s legal team manages customer contracts and RFPs that often arrive on counterparties’ paper, with varied formats and graphics. For legal teams, adopting AI responsibly requires more than selecting a model. It requires a governed environment, clear boundaries, and workflows that reflect how attorneys actually work. Finalsite partnered with Pariveda to consolidate its legal team into a governed Claude Enterprise environment and build practical AI capability around a high-value workflow: customer-contract redlining.

Building AI capability for legal work without adding headcount or giving up control

The team needed to work efficiently without adding legal headcount, while maintaining the judgment, traceability, and control required for legal work. Its attorneys were working in separately licensed accounts rather than a governed, shared environment.

Pariveda was engaged to establish a governed foundation and turn Finalsite’s legal playbook into a working assistant that keeps attorneys in control.

How Pariveda built a governed, attorney-in-control AI capability:

Established a governed Legal workspace within Finalsite's existing Claude Enterprise environment, including configuring the workspace, documenting access-control considerations, and supporting the transition from separately licensed accounts
Used Claude Code to turn Finalsite's templates, clause library, and playbook into an assistant that produces tracked-changes Word documents, margin comments, and a review table, running on Claude Sonnet 5 with Claude Opus 5 for secondary review
Kept attorneys in control: outputs are drafts for review, deal-breaker terms are flagged rather than changed, and the workflow fails closed when it can't make an edit safely
Refined the assistant through attorney feedback and testing against real contract and RFP matters, not just demonstrations
Delivered an admin runbook, skill library, and KPI measurement plan so Finalsite can keep operating and improving the capability

The Enterprise workspace went live in July 2026, with a first live redline run and a real customer redline sent to a counterparty in August with a same-day turnaround.

The skill library grew beyond redlining during the engagement: Finalsite’s attorneys now use the same attorney-in-control model for drafting contract amendments on the company’s standard forms and for verified statute research against official sources. The measurement plan is designed to track contract cycle time, attorney hours per review, adoption, substantive corrections, and privilege or confidentiality incidents. The next step is to establish reliable baselines and assess results using Finalsite’s own data.
