Overview
Doug Patrick is an experienced technology consultant and architect specializing in solution architecture, enterprise architecture, and custom implementation delivery. He brings a broad technical foundation spanning custom application development, data platforms, large-scale systems integration, and Generative AI initiatives across multiple industries. With deep experience in healthcare and oil & gas, plus work in financial services, telecommunications, and hospitality, Doug is known for translating complex business needs into pragmatic, resilient technology solutions and for helping organizations identify where modern data and AI capabilities can deliver measurable value.
Experience
Doug has more than a decade of consulting experience leading and delivering complex technology programs, with strengths in custom application implementations, data engineering, and technology architecture. He has managed and contributed to large-scale integrations, built and modernized data platforms, and led teams responsible for designing and implementing custom applications. In recent years, Doug has developed focused expertise in AI/ML and Generative AI – supporting organizations in defining practical AI strategies, identifying value opportunities, and implementing solutions in a way that fits real-world constraints and governance.
Doug’s work also includes strategic engagements such as business case valuation for new products, data governance implementations, and architecture planning. Prior to joining Pariveda, Doug held roles at Accenture and Slalom.
Outside of the office
When Doug is not working, he enjoys spending time with his wife and his dog. Originally from Canada, Doug stereotypically loves watching and playing hockey, but also enjoys skiing and Pittsburgh Steelers football.
Education and service
Doug graduated with a degree in Mechanical Engineering from McGill University. Doug supports LaAmistad – a community supported non-profit organization that works to empower Latino students and families to achieve their ultimate potential. While he has no formal credential, Doug can speak Spanish with professional working proficiency.
