EducationCo* is a $2B education management company that provides online schooling as an alternative to traditional brick-and-mortar learning for kindergarten through 12th-grade students.
To gain a competitive advantage, EducationCo wanted to mature their data and analytics program by transforming into a modern data enterprise (MDE) – an organization that integrates data and analytics into its core operations, decision-making processes, and overall strategy. But, the transformation had wide-reaching implications for the company’s people.
The Challenge
Shifting mindsets to drive innovation.
While implementing a full MDE tech stack, EducationCo identified six new roles that were necessary to leverage their data platform effectively. The responsibilities were given to existing employees with varying levels of experience in data ownership.
EducationCo hired Pariveda to develop a learning strategy to ramp up these individuals and drive technology adoption through new knowledge and skill acquisition and by reinforcing the value and importance of data.
The Result
How Pariveda changed perspectives to facilitate learning:
- Conducted a series of structured peer learning sessions to solve complex problems, identify patterns in ways of working, teach new skills, and provide feedback.
- Accelerated ramp-up by facilitating understanding of topics covered in formal training and by scaling the learning process as everyone experimented in their new role and shared information with the group.
- Introduced an experiential mechanism for developing within the desired expectations.
The Impact
The learning program increased the adoption of technology solutions by role fillers and accelerated ramp-up.
