How to accelerate virtual education
Online learning has been around at least since 2008, when the first massive open online course (MOOC) was created with the intention of providing a rich new learning environment to a wide variety of students. Since then, remote education has only grown and evolved over the years. This expansion accelerated during the pandemic when it suddenly became the only way the majority of students could continue going to school.
Now, even as in-person classes continue to open up again, many students and teachers aren’t looking to go back, preferring the flexibility that remote courses provide. As a result, colleges and universities are trying to figure out how to accelerate virtual education and strengthen their online offerings to accommodate these students not only in the moment but for years to come.
