Overview
Akash is a strategic OD Consultant with 15 years of experience. He is recognized by others for his ability to generate insights, facilitate design thinking, clarify accountabilities, and enable change. He held progressively senior roles within HR & OD before transitioning to management consulting. With a track record of quickly earning the trust of colleagues, clients, and stakeholders through personal candor and professional competence, he has varied experiences across a range of industries, including Automotive, Financial Services, Mining, Retail, and Education.
Experience
Akash has experience in organizational design, talent assessments, leadership development, change management, performance management, and talent acquisition. He has consulted with the CEO and Vice President of Mexico to redesign the management team structure for a 2,000-person mining operation. He conducted an assessment of the current state organization structure to identify gaps and risks based on the growth in the operation over the preceding three years. He also designed a set of potential structures with input from the HR leadership team, which were presented back to the executive sponsors. He has also worked extensively in the automotive industry to reorganize middle management structures and redesign annual performance assessment processes to better teams across the organization.
Outside of the office
When Akash is not at work, he enjoys spending time with his large extended family, being active outdoors, listening to podcasts, and reading books about personal, organizational, and societal effectiveness.
Education and service
Akash has a Master’s degree in economics from the University of Toronto and a Bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Waterloo.
