Overview
Sean Fisher is both an outstanding technologist and savvy leader, with a passion for complex problem-solving and building elegant, innovative solutions. Sean has a breadth of consulting experience across the healthcare, life sciences, retail energy, oil and gas, and construction industries. Sean’s curiosity and focus on excellence drive him to advise clients with insightful perspectives and lead teams to deliver quality work.
Experience
Over the past 11 years, Sean has led cloud-based, automation, data, web, cross-platform mobile, and desktop initiatives across dozens of technology stacks. He moves comfortably across roles such as business advisor, architect, change management lead, technical lead, project manager, coach, and mentor and across the technology spectrum from front-end to infrastructure.
Some of Sean’s contributions include:
- Helping patient/provider interactions in outpatient clinics be richer and more personal by architecting and leading the development of a vanguard, machine-learning-powered assistant
- Unlocking greater efficiencies and data analytics capabilities for global oil and gas firms by facilitating a platform deployment technology shift to allow in-country deployments
- Helping a cloud provider showcase innovation on their platform by rapidly co-developing never-before-seen functionality
- Empowering potentially life-saving pharmaceutical research by developing a vision and approach for a strategic move to the cloud
- Improving accuracy and reducing monthly/annual financial “close” time by weeks for a retail energy provider by building a flow accounting system
- Reducing compliance risk and accelerating drug discovery by evaluating and architecting improvements to a clinical trial data management system
Outside of the office
Sean enjoys traveling, working on his latest side project, and spending time with his wife and three children. Together they play, serve, enjoy the wide variety of Houston cuisine options, and spend far too much time working on home renovation projects.
Education and Service
Sean has a Masters of Information Systems Management degree from Brigham Young University, where he graduated Summa Cum Laude and was the recipient of the J. Owen Cherrington Scholarship and Outstanding Graduate Student awards. Sean is active in the community, including youth mentoring, humanitarian aid, and church service.
