Overview
Tim Hurst has over ten years of experience designing and delivering complex IT solutions in a consulting environment and is passionate about helping clients deliver business value through the innovative use of technology. His areas of expertise include architecting, designing, developing, and maintaining web-based applications using the Microsoft .NET stack, most recently targeting public cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services. Tim is a thoughtful mentor and coach at Pariveda and is passionate about developing talent within Pariveda and client teams.
Experience
Tim’s work spans a variety of industries including Insurance, Direct Sales, Retail Energy, Environmental, Healthcare, and Retail. He has deep experience leading agile teams through the entire Software Development Life Cycle. Tim works closely with clients and delivery teams during planning to determine solution approach, scope, budget, staffing, and timeline; and he also engages throughout the software delivery process to deliver excellent solutions providing business value.
Prior to joining Pariveda Solutions in 2010, Tim honed his software development and consulting skills at EMC Consulting.
Outside of the office
Outside of the office, Tim enjoys spending time with his wife Krystal and his three young boys Mark, Zach, and Nathan. He keeps busy with frequent DIY projects in and around his house, and on the weekends you’ll find him enjoying his newly remodeled backyard patio with a craft beer in hand. Tim is also an avid enthusiast of Tex-Mex cuisine and enjoys the many fine margaritas and patio dining opportunities in DFW.
Education and service
Tim received a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Oklahoma Christian University. While at OC, Tim served as an officer in the social service club of Sigma Chi Sigma. Tim is currently an active volunteer in community service activities through his church in Richardson.
