As Chief Technology Officer at Pariveda, Brian Orrell drives technological excellence and delivery innovation. He ensures that Pariveda adopts cutting-edge approaches for client solutions, develops robust frameworks to enhance execution, and mentors consultants in emerging technologies and methodologies to ensure they thrive in a rapidly evolving landscape.

Experience

With over 30 years of technology consulting experience, Brian Orrell specializes in delivering enterprise-scale solutions across diverse industries.

He has spearheaded transformative engagements for global utility companies, airlines, educational institutions, logistics firms, and non-profit organizations. His leadership has been instrumental in delivering critical systems, such as Online bill payment solutions for major utilities, Scheduling and tracking systems for leading airlines, Educational testing platforms for statewide school systems, and Supply-chain routing and tracking systems for one of the world’s largest logistics companies.

Brian’s technical expertise has made him a sought-after speaker on managing large-scale development projects and custom software solutions. He has also taught courses on development methodologies and technology strategy, equipping others to navigate the complexities of modern technology initiatives.

Before joining Pariveda, Brian held leadership roles at Southwest Airlines, Tactica Technology Group, BSG Alliance IT, and Hitachi Consulting.

Outside of the office

Brian’s passion for travel fuels his curiosity about the world, while his love of cooking serves as his creative outlet and stress reliever. A proud “early adopter,” he eagerly tests the latest tech gadgets, exploring how innovation can improve both work and life.

Education and service

Brian actively supports non-profits that harness technology to uplift communities and individuals. As a lifelong educator and tech enthusiast, he is always seeking opportunities to blend his expertise with his commitment to service. A graduate of Southern Methodist University, Brian continues to inspire others through his dedication to teaching, mentoring, and community engagement.
