Overview
Nick Madsen likes challenging problems… but he loves helping teams work together to solve them. He has served eCommerce businesses, waste management, and automotive industries and has driven front-end, full-stack, custom systems integration, and cloud projects to successful outcomes. Nick’s ability to bring people together to examine technical and business problems from multiple perspectives enables him to cultivate clever solutions with his clients.
Experience
Nick has been partnering with Pariveda’s clients for over 11 years, tailoring a broad range of technology to solve interesting problems. While he has experience across the full stack, his primary area of focus is driving cost-effective front-end development by considering the whole user experience along with the back-end systems and business processes that support it.
Nick has architected and managed a wide range of projects, such as building an integrated customer settlement system across three legacy mainframes, an event-based sales lead processor, a fully custom CMS geared for technical product education, and inventory management solutions for a variety of use cases. Prior to joining Pariveda, he led IT operations for a collective of waterparks and family fun centers, enabling guests’ cohesive experiences.
Outside of the office
At home, Nick’s wife and four kids keep him on his toes. He enjoys all kinds of music, finding delicious new ways to prepare fresh food, swimming, road cycling, and running (sometimes one right after the other), any video game (as long as it starts with an “M” or “Z” and ends with saving the princess), razor-sharp paint lines, and the occasional reality show.
Education and service
Nick graduated from Brigham Young University with a B.S. in Statistics, emphasizing in Statistical Science, and a minor in Mathematics. He loves volunteering his musical talents to the children’s groups in his church and finds ways to donate technical know-how to people trying to make a difference in the world.
