Applying curiosity, compassion and rigor, he is motivated to help people solve ambiguous, complex, and messy problems in their journey to a known or unknown future state.
Sean enjoys the excitement and challenge of building relationships and earning the trust of new clients as well as deepening those relationships over time to become a truly trusted advisor to help an enterprise tackle its biggest challenges. Internally, he invests his time in developing others and contributing to the culture and community of the organization.
Along with the professional skills developed over his career, he provides a blend of resilience, positive attitude, humor, willingness to speak truth to power and focus on doing what is right.
Experience
With a penchant for saying yes to opportunities over the course of his career, Sean has consistently found himself doing something “new” – whether it be a role, industry, geography, or solution area. This breadth of experience helps him apply a unique perspective when approaching challenges that cannot be solved with formulaic solutions.
Sean has served clients across an array of industries, most recently in FinTech and Financial Services, Biotech, Technology, and Retail. He has helped clients across a variety of digital, organizational, and technology-driven transformations from helping set the vision to the detailed design and delivery of the transformation.
Prior to joining Pariveda, Sean was fortunate to work in and learn from large, midsized, and small consulting firms up and down the west coast as well as internationally in London. He has held local and national leadership roles with commercial, P&L, and people development/experience responsibilities.
Outside of the office
Sean is in continuous learning mode outside the office as a homeowner where there is always something to fix or improve and a dad to two little rascals/sons. He’ll always say yes to attending a baseball game, his mother-in-law’s cooking, and taking on the detailed planning for a trip. He is fascinated by how we humans operate; listening to a variety of podcasts and audiobooks is how he tries to become an armchair behavioral economist.
With family and friends all over the world, he and his family are assured to use their passports a few times a year and enjoy the comfort of visiting familiar destinations as well as the thrill of discovering new places.
Education and service
Sean attended Purdue University, receiving his BSc degree in General Management with minors in Organization Behavior & Human Resources and International Business. Informally, he has learned so much more from colleagues, clients, and friends as well as his time spent traveling and living overseas.
His involvement with Big Brothers Big Sisters has been an invaluable experience and he also enjoys opportunities to informally mentor and coach others when possible.
