Overview
Shawn leads teams and organizations in guiding, designing, and building digital products to creatively solve customer problems. He has a particular affinity for products in sustainability but has experience across industries such as oil and gas, logistics, and professional services.
Experience
With more than 17 years of technology and business experience, Shawn has a breadth of experience in product management, product design, and program management. His primary area of expertise lies in customer discovery. Most recently he has developed a passion for improving customer interviews by understanding the cognitive biases at play.
He has guided and managed a wide variety of products, such as defining the needs of a product that calculates organizations’ carbon emissions, planning a large-scale digital transformation rollout, and leading thorough competitive analyses for products and services. Before joining Pariveda Solutions, Shawn worked at a Houston-based energy company, guiding them through agile adoption and improving their product management.
Outside of the office
On the weekends, Shawn likes to experiment with new recipes, get lost in a science fiction book, and stroll through the farmers’ market with his dog, Pluto.
Education and service
Shawn graduated from the University of Houston with a bachelor’s in computer science with a minor in mathematics. He considers learning an essential part of life and pursues knowledge in all that he does.
