Valerie Skinner serves as the Director of Consulting Operations at Pariveda. Throughout this role, she is responsible for overseeing Pariveda’s unique staffing system, sales and account operations, and internal change management efforts. She brings her expertise in change to all areas of her work. She believes meaningful change is accomplished by understanding what motivates people and meeting their intrinsic human needs in the workplace.
Valerie has over nine years of experience within Pariveda in a variety of roles focusing on geo-focused operations. Prior to Pariveda, she held operational roles at Pepperdine University and a large healthcare organization. She has broad experience in project management and change management with a focus on human-centered design. Since 2020, she has led the consulting operations team. Under her leadership, the team has grown and evolved into one that effectively manages and enhances current processes while also offering creative solutions to continue the advancement toward the Pariveda mission.
Outside of the Office
When not working, Valerie can be found restoring her century-old home in Oak Cliff, Dallas with her husband, Andrew, and their two dogs. She also enjoys traveling and exploring new places where she can spend days hiking and nights eating excellent food. Valerie brings her travel experiences home through experimentation in the kitchen and has a passion for interior design cultivated by her collector grandmother.
Education and Service
Valerie is a certified PROSCI Change Management professional, with a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Abilene Christian University and a Master’s degree in American Studies from Pepperdine Univesity. In addition to her professional accomplishments, Valerie is passionate about giving back to her community. She serves on her local historic neighborhood board and has led internal Get out the Vote efforts at Pariveda.
