Jillian Haynes

Overview

As Sustena’s Senior Director, Creative Services, Jillian’s brand work spans strategy, project management, visual brand development, and implementation. A self-described jill-of-all-trades, Jillian’s branding superpower is approaching her craft through the dual lens of creativity and meticulous coordination, balancing the strategic and the tactical to ensure project success. She also leads Sustena’s Employer Branding efforts, helping companies harness their internal messaging to drive employee engagement, talent acquisition, and retention.

Experience

Jillian began her career as a designer in B2B brand development before transitioning to the nonprofit space. There, she led Branding and MarCom initiatives for both national and NYC-based organizations, spanning the music education, performance arts, and animal welfare sectors, with a focus on institutional and event marketing.

Outside the office

When Jillian is not working, she loves spending time with her husband and two children, Indigo and Felix. She also enjoys gardening, practicing aerial arts, and attending live music and theater.

Education and service

Jillian graduated magna cum laude from Loyola University Chicago, with a Bachelor of Art degree in Visual Communication, and minors in Spanish and Psychology. She spent many years volunteering with her adopted pit bull, Fern, as a certified animal therapy team with the Good Dog Foundation, and now is active in a local community garden and community aid group in Lawrence, KS.
