Overview
As Founder of Pariveda, having served 20 years as its first CEO, Bruce Ballengee has contributed to the success of the company through his keen insight and industry knowledge. Bruce is sought out by leaders in the professional services community for both his deep technical expertise and business acumen. He actively serves on the boards of several companies and not for profit organizations. His passion for developing talent is evident in Pariveda’s training curriculum, proprietary cohort scale, review, and recruiting processes. Experience
He has over forty years of experience in operations and technology working with business and IT organizations to be more effective through improvements to their strategies, organizations, people, processes, and technology. His primary area of expertise is operational effectiveness and enterprise architecture for service companies and IT organizations. He has published and spoken at symposia on several technical and enterprise architecture subjects. Bruce has taught courses in enterprise architecture, the nature of design, leadership, and risk management.
Bruce has extensive experience in the telecommunications, energy, and software industries, along with high-tech manufacturing and financial services. Mr. Ballengee has served in leadership capacities at Booz Allen Hamilton, Accenture, Sprint, and Hitachi Consulting. He founded Dolphin International in 1995 and merged with Tactica in 1998 where he led its Denver and Dallas consulting operations. He served in various roles at Hitachi Consulting including Executive Vice President of Service Delivery where he led a major strategic focus and restructuring initiative that boosted gross margins fifty percent; as well as Chief Financial Officer, where he helped it achieve consistent profitability before starting Pariveda Solutions.
Outside Of The Office
Bruce enjoys reading, walking, and hiking. He is also an avid saltwater fisherman and amateur naturalist in landlocked DFW – with a special nod to native birds and plants.
Education & Service
He received a B.B.A. in Finance and Economics from Baylor University in 1979 and an M.B.A. with a specialization in Finance from the University of Chicago in 1981. Bruce serves many organizations. He chairs the Dogwood Canyon Audubon Center Advisory Board and serves on the Audubon Texas Advisory Board. He is a member of the Native Plant Society of Texas and Native Prairies Association of Texas as well as certified as Master Naturalist in the North Texas chapter (NTMN). He chairs the (Re)Zip Board, an ESG CPG company, and serves on Pariveda Solutions Board, a certified B-Corp.
