Overview
Erik is an exceptionally resourceful problem seeker who engineers creative ways to make things work – typically in the cloud. On his happiest days, you will find him diagramming or modeling systems from operating models and product/solution concepts to data and technology architectures.
In addition to having drawn on every inch of every whiteboard in the office, Erik has developed solution architectures, designed proofs of concept to demonstrate the viability of those architectures, led teams and “teams-of-teams” to deliver large-scale change (including data platforms), managed and was accountable for security and operations of a company’s AWS environment, designed and developed customer-facing SaaS products, created strategies for branching lines of business to enter new markets, and led road mapping initiatives for transforming front and back-office business systems/functions.
Experience
Erik operates primarily within medium-to-large enterprise environments in technology, financial services, healthcare, education, manufacturing, DoD, and civilian agencies in a consulting and full-time capacity in design and delivery roles.
His areas of specialization include business, data, and cloud solution architecture and modeling; business model analysis and value prop design; operating model design; process analysis and re-engineering; data analysis, visualization, and reporting; technical research and writing; prototyping; building high-performing teams; and people development.
Prior to joining Pariveda, Erik served as the Chief Cloud Architect for an IoT startup and held positions at Moody’s Corporation, EY, Deloitte Consulting, IBM Global Business Services, and Loud-Hailer Inc.
Outside of the office
When Erik is not working, he enjoys bouncing around the globe, playing tennis and baseball/softball, catching live shows and sporting events, and generally doing anything that involves being outside and around people.
Education and service
Erik holds a B.S. in Systems Engineering from the University of Virginia.
