Cecil Dearborne is a seasoned leader with over 33 years of experience in the tech professional services industry. As the Local Market Lead for Pariveda’s Chicago office and the Central Operating Group Delivery Excellence Lead, Cecil is instrumental in driving impactful solutions for clients while fostering a culture of innovation and excellence within his teams, market, and region.
Cecil’s career reflects a commitment to delivering strategic value by bridging technology with business needs. His expertise spans solution delivery, organizational leadership, and operational strategy, enabling him to guide diverse teams and solve complex challenges with precision and foresight.
Experience
Over the past 33+ years, Cecil has spent 22 (and growing) years in consulting/professional services. He has a breadth of leadership experience. He has worked with many Fortune 500 companies to deliver significant business value through the execution of technology & business strategies, operational changes, and the implementation of technology solutions.
Cecil believes in empowering teams to achieve their fullest potential by fostering collaboration, mentorship, and a shared purpose. His approach emphasizes thoughtful problem-solving, continuous improvement, and building strong, trust-based relationships with clients and colleagues alike.
Prior to joining Pariveda, he was the Head of Strategic Operations for Thoughtworks’ North America Enterprise Modernization, Platform, and Cloud Service Line. He was also the Practice Lead for Delivery Assurance.
Outside of the office
Outside of his professional commitments, Cecil enjoys engaging in activities that allow him to give back and stay connected with his community. Whether participating on executive boards for non-profits, mentoring emerging professionals, exploring Chicago’s vibrant culture, or spending quality time with his family, Cecil values the balance between work and personal growth.Â
Education and service
Cecil graduated from Cornell University with a B.S. in Computer Science from the School of Engineering. He is an executive board member of AFC and an active member of the Economic Club of Chicago. He is an advocate for lifelong learning and actively contributes to Pariveda’s internal training programs, nurturing the next generation of leaders.
